May 2013 Beauteco box

Beauty boxes have been around for a while. You pay a monthly subscription for 4-5 beauty items of varying size. What arrives in these boxes is somewhat of a lucky dip, and satisfaction or value for money are not necessarily guaranteed.

However, there is a new arrival on the beauty box scene. Enter BeautecoBox.co.uk.  For a monthly subscription you can choose from 3 boxes with 5 products. Again they are a combination of sample and full size products, but you know what will be arriving.

So this is what arrived on my doorstep. This contains a full size anatomicals don't just clean it, scrub it body scrub (£3.49 for 200mls), and full size anatomicals help the paw hand cream (£3 for 100ml). The samples are Dr Bragi age management moisturiser 5ml (full size £120 for 60ml), Melvita milky cleansing oil 35ml (full size 145ml for £19.50) and Mitchell and Peach body lotion 50ml (full size £36 for 180ml.

I am really pleased with this box, The samples are all decent sizes, which isn't always the case in other beauty boxes. I will buy help the paw, it is a really nice, affordable hand cream, and will explore the anatomicals range further. The Dr Bragi sample is way out of my price range as is the Mitchell and Peach, but it is always nice to sample high end products.

I look forward to seeing future boxes from this company.

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream is one of my favourite hand creams ever. A huge part of my life revolves around hand washing. As a result my hands are often sore, dry and chapped.

I love the smell of almonds, and is nice to have a hand cream that doesn't have too girly a fragrance. The hand cream is light and quickly absorbed, but the effects are long lasting. This is so moisturising without leaving my hands greasy or tacky.
