High End Micellar Water

                                                              High End Micellar Water

Bioderma is probably the most famous of all micellar waters and one of those products that everyone seems to love. It is without a shadow of a doubt a very good and gentle make up remover. However I always like to know how products compare and I thought I would show you an alternative to Bioderma in the form of Melvita Organic Rose Nectar Fresh Micellar Water. These two products are at the higher end of the price range.

So what is a all the fuss about micellar water and what exactly is it? A micelle is actually a spherical liquid crystal, which put simply often form around other molecules. This makes them really good at trapping small amounts of oil, and therefore removing make up.

For me, a micellar water is perfect for removing eye make up, as it is very gentle, very effective and does not leave any greasy residue.

Bioderma is a lovely product to use. It is completely fragrance free, it quickly and easily removes all makeup. Bioderma feels very cooling on the skin and does not cause any irritation. However Bioderma is not a product that is widely available in the UK. It isn't always the easiest product to track down but it is available online here

The Melvita Organic Rose Nectar Fresh Micellar Water in my opinion is equally as good as the Bioderma. It does have a light rose scent, which personally I really like. I have found it to be as effective in terms of removing make up as Bioderma. Of course Melvita products are certified Organic, so if that is important to you, this may well be the product for you and ban be bought here

I love micellar water products. In the future I will look at trying something a little cheaper to see how they compare. Have you any recommendations?

  1. Great comparison review Karen. Very informative & helpful. We do prefer organic products such as Melvita but the others mentioned also sound very good. Thanks for sharing :-)

  2. I have a Vichy one that I got an incredibly clearance sale. I wouldn't mind a light rose scent but price is always a factor for me.
