#NoBuyJanuary was really useful for me in terms of making me look much more closely at all the things I have hoarded. It was never going to be possible to clear all my stash in just one month, so I need to find a way of restricting my spending. Enter #FrugalFebruary.
I plan on allowing myself a monthly budget of £30 (excluding beauty box subscriptions) to spend as I please. I am going to create a monthly wishlist (which I will post next week) and from that I will spend up to my budget.
Firstly I really need to get out of the habit of impulse purchases, so hopefully a wishlist that I have to wait a while to purchase from will curb this. The second habit I need to break is stock piling similar products.
My biggest weakness is skincare. The photo shows my collection of cleansers and face washes, and I feel I need to focus my efforts on using up some of my skincare. I need to be much stricter with myself and implement a 3 out 1 in policy. I have also started doing #facialfebruary on instagram as a way of keeping me focused.
How are you following on from #NoBuyJanuary ?
I'm allowing myself a couple of purchases each month but not going crazy. I'm down to one beauty box too x
ReplyDeleteI don't think I am ready to drop my beauty boxes just yet. Which one are you keeping?
ReplyDelete#FrugalFebruary ...I like that lol. :-) Got a nice spin to it. I'm limiting myself still tbh, don't have any beauty boxes. And haven't set an exact limit but probably only buy 1 thing as and when I need it. Nice post dear xx
ReplyDeleteI wish I was as refrained as you x
DeleteNice box! you have a lot of cleansers :-) x
ReplyDeleteLol, too many cleansers Audrey x
DeleteI still have way too much stuff. I have continued not to purchase anything new with the exception of my subscription boxes which I'm in the process of trying to cancel. I haven't even ordered what I wanted/needed yet.
ReplyDeleteI agree I still have loads of stuff. I ordered a new shampoo and a moisturiser, but that will be it for this month.
ReplyDeleteI like the plan with #FrugalFebruary I still have lot's to use up too, I bought a few bits that were practical and that I needed like some more mendill wipes and hand sanitiser ready for work and also the BiOrganics which I was completely out of. I feel like there has been a real shift in my thinking because I was browsing the web and couldn't find anything I wanted enough to part with the money yesterday, I already have so much it feel excessive to buy anything else Xx
ReplyDeleteIt can be a good thing. I definitely find myself questioning whether I really need to make that purchase. I also find myself looking at the ingredients to see whether I already have a similar product. Chances are I already do.
